New Beginnings 27th August 2023
Hi Everyone' Well it's been a very busy couple of months with lots of gigs solo and band under our belts. Colin has just returned from an eventful Elvis Week in Memphis and happy to say the shows were a great success' especially Marlowe's and the infamous pool party at The Days Inn at Graceland. The Days Inn is under new ownership and they are delighted to carry on the pool party tradition. The Hotel is currently under new construction and and makeover. It's looking great and a change was needed after Covid. It got a little tired and run down [don't we all] but is now looking fabulous and I'm sure the fans will come flooding back. Just this past weekend Colin and The Persuaders finally played The Legendary Twinwood Festival. It was a great success and the lads played their hearts out. [See Pics on Left.] This place is absolutely massive and with lot's of different bands in all genres to keep everyone entertained.

It's almost that time of year again when Colin returns to Memphis' Just seven shows this year. Colin said after last year performing thirteen shows plus a recording session' [I wanted to cut down for this year so I can enjoy more of the sights and sounds of Memphis] See gig guide for show listings and times. While in Memphis Colin will be Interviewed at The Guesthouse at Graceland on his life and upcoming projects. Expect two major announcements and talk of some exciting adventures ahead. This will be a big interview where Colin will be discussing many things including his parents' family' friends' music' including Elvis Week pro's and Cons and much more. The interview will be online before the end of august' and a link will be posted here.

Hi Everyone' Sorry for the delay in any updates. Took most of April off for a break and now ready for another packed year and beyond. Still a few places left for our Billy Fury wkd this summer in Liverpool. See Poster on Home Page for all details. As most of you know we are at The Liner Hotel' Which speaks for itself. Been there for three or four years now in this top class hotel right in the heart of Liverpool. Can't recommend this great Hotel enough. Come see for yourself. Colin has been performing at The Moss Trooper in Timperley [see poster on Colin Paul page] Since he first started out in the late 80's of course it was different then and had a back room. The Stormbeats and The Persuaders performed there in the early days before it changed into a first class restaurant where Colin now plays solo to a sold out audience each time he is there. We can reveal The Pool party this year will be themed on Elvis's Movies and we will have a big screen showcasing some of his greatest performances to get you into that party mood. From Graceland to The Cavern 1st February 2023
Hello Everyone' We are barely into the new year and so much has happened in January as in our previous report we are all still reeleing from the death of Lisa Marie Presley. It's one of those things you cant get your head round. Its lovely to see so many tributes to her from around the world but sad the media have to dig dig dig. We hope she is now at Peace !
I can say my trip to the USA was as always fantastic. We have made so many friends now family over there and we couldn't be made to be more welcome in Memphis Tennessee. The shows at Marlowe's were a huge success with once again members of Elvis family and friends in attendance. It doesn't get any better than that.
While in Memphis I shot some adds for my MADE IN MEMPHIS album a brand new video for a new song called 'I KEEP GOING BACK TO MEMPHIS' It was written by Geoff Taggart and Toni West. It's based on yes you guessed it some of my reasons for going back to Memphis twice a tear. I returned home then went straight to the studio to Record it. The master recording is finished and the video is currently being worked on. The song and video will be on YouTube in the next week or so. Keep tuning into the Colin Paul Channel and subscribe once your subscribe hit the bell at the top so you don't miss out on all the new material that will be uploaded in the coming months.
Since stepping foot on UK Soil the gigs have been fantastic especially our trips to Devon and Liverpool. The gig in Devon was at The Barstaple Hotel. What a great hotel it is and more importantly the folks at the gig were out to party and party they did. The event was run by Rock 'n' Roll Promotor 'Strollin' Steve Ashdown. All i can say is something big has come off the back off this gig for 2024. I'm not allowed to say what it is at the moment. But to say we are excited is an understatement. more news on this as soon as we are allowed. If that wasnt enough last monday 23rd January The Persuaders and I filmed a song for a special Documentry on the life of songwriter Phil Springer who wrote Santa Baby for Eartha Kitt' The Next Time for Cliff Richard and many more hits for the likes of Dusty Springfield etc. The song we performed was Never Ending' Written by Buddy Kaye and Phillip Springer. The song that Elvis recorded. We will keep you posted about this Doc. Remember if you have seen previous post I was interviewed in Memphis last August for the same project.
From Devon we travelled to Liverpool for our SOLD OUT Tribute to Billy Fury Show at the world famous cavern club. We were there to remember Billy on the 40th Anniversary of his passing. It was packed out and i mean packed out. Again an audience that was ready to party and what a great party it was. So good to see fans from all over the UK. The Persuaders did me so proud and talk about a great atmospher. If you were there then you know and thank you from all of us.

Breaking News ! 13th January 2023
Hi Everyone'
I Was supposed to start out first news of 2023 with a Happy New Year But having just returned from Graceland and hearing the awful News that Elvis's Daughter Lisa Marie Presley has passed away. It's hard to take in as I was only with her just a few days ago at Graceland celebrating the 88th Birthday of her dad Elvis. She was happy and keen to talk to all the fans. I asked her to say Hi to the fans in the UK which she kindly did. We hugged and said how good it was to see each other. You can see a short video on my Facebook page and the full live video also, It will be posted as a tribute to Lise on Youtube in the coming days.
I just cant believe it. It's like a little piece of Elvis has passed away again and my feelings take me back to that fateful day in August 1977. On behalf of my family and The Persuaders we send out our sincere Condolences to The Presley family' especially her mother Priscilla [I cant imagine how she is feeling right now] and her Daughters Riley' Harper and Finley. My only hope is if there is an after life then she is back in the arms of her father and Her son Ben.
Another light went out in Memphis last night may she rest in peace.
We do wish you all a Happy New Year and look forward to seeing you all soon.

It's Christmasssssss 24th December 2022
Hi everyone' It's certainly been a very busy year and these past two months especially. lots of things been happening including many gigs coming in for both 2023 and 2024 Band and Solo. The latest news is Colin Paul and The Persuaders are gonna be featured in a TV Documentary in the states. The Doc is about songwriter Philip Springer who co wrote many hits including Santa Baby for Eartha Kitt' The Next Time for Cliff Richard and Never Ending for Elvis amongst other artiste to perform his songs is Dusty Springfield. . The Documentary is in production with a working title of Philip Springer - Not Just Santa Baby. I have already been interviewd for the Doc last August in Memphis and several performances were also filmed. Phil's Daughter Tamar Springer is producing the show along with Art Douglas. Tamar recently got intouch with me to ask if the band could record Never Ending and could we film a performance of the Elvis song Never Ending. This will be all put together by the end of January when at that time we may have an idea of when and where the doc will be broadcast later in the year. We are so excited about this. more news when we have it.
Tickets for New Years Eve in Timperley are now sold out' It promises to be a great night.

Sounds of Fury 12th September 2022
Now Confirmed Colin Paul & The Persuaders live at The Cavern Club in Liverpool on Sunday 29th January 2023. Although the Rock n Roll Explosion had already begun for Billy Fury back in 1958/59 he never got the chance to bring his music to the cavern' so to commemorate The 40th Anniversary of Billy's passing we are bringing our Original Billy Fury Experience Show to this iconic venue. The Show Starts at 2pm and finishes at 5pm. Tickets will be on sale very soon. Lookout for posters with all details posted here and on our facebook pages and The Caverns website very soon. We are so excited and hope you can join us in celebrating the life and music of Billy in his hometown of Liverpool on this special anniversary wkd.

Sounds of Memphis 11th September 2022
Hi everyone' It's great to back from the good ol' USA and making plans for the coming months. Colin's trip to the US was great and after a total of 13 shows and a recording session' he was ready for some rest and recuperation in Hawaii. Although he did perform a 40 min show in Honolulu. More about that in the coming weeks. Special thanks to EPE' Marlowe's' The Tigerman Dojo' Laffeyette's' The Doubletree Hotel, Yesterday Once More and The Days Inn at Graceland. Not forgetting the Legendary Sun Studio. Colin Recorded a total of 29 songs. Colin said To be in Sun Studio Recording where legends were born and Rock 'n' Roll History was made is unbelievable. You can feel the vibes and its like all the photos in the place come alive and make you feel at ease. I never expected to get through a dozen songs let alone 29. all songs are currently being mixed down' then its the process of choosing which songs actually go on the cd. The Songs that don't make it onto disk will be available in a special download version of the album. Track Listings will be posted here asap and hopefully a release before December.
SUN DOWN 26th July 2022
On the evening of Monday 8th August & over night Colin Paul will be back recording in the legendary Sun Studio in Memphis Tennessee to commemorate the 70th anniversary of this iconic studio. Several songs have been written for this special album and Colin will cover many songs that were recorded there, as well as Sun inspired songs on the Nashville Rock 'n' Roll scene. its a great mix of that classic Country Rockabilly feel that The Memphis Recording Service is well known for. Colin says I don't want to jinx anything by revealing the track listing before it's recorded but I can promise it will be an album like no other. Almost Christmas 10th July 2022
Such a busy few months behind us and between now and Christmas it's about to get busier. So many great gigs to look forward to. This weekend we attend our sold out Billy Fury Weekend in Liverpool and as mentioned in our earlier post our Fury weekend in Blackpool in November is also sold out. I guess it's because it was such a good move to changed hotels for both events. The Liner and The Savoy have now the backing of the fans and that's good enough for us. Lookout for the posters for future weekenders and don't forget to book asap as from experience we know you wont be disappointed.
Sun Studio session 10th July 2022
Colin is getting ready to fly to Memphis and is excited about returning to Sun Studio to record a Rockabilly album Sun Style with many great songs Colin has never even performed before let alone record. There will be a very special bonus song featured as a thank you to all who have supported and continue to support Colin. I can say at this stage its a song that has been very kind to Colin over the years at home and abroad. As well as some Fantastic original material it will feature songs recorded by Charlie Rich, Jerry Lee Lewis, Johnny Cash, Johnny Horton, and Chris Issak amongst others. Also a couple of legendary songs with a twist. Colin will be in Sun on the evening of 8th August and hopefully feature a small live video during those sessions as a teaser to what will be on the album. 'watch this space'

Hemsby news 21st June 2022
Lots of gigs coming in for the band with some great shows in Blackpool [Hotshot's Elvis] as well as holiday parks in Carlisle and Hemsby. Speaking of Hemsby. Elvis Week in Hemsby The UK's Premier Elvis Week will kick off on November 5th - 12th. Lots of great Elvis entertainment as well as the best in Cabaret Entertainment not forgetting the best Elvis DJ's in the land.
It's been confirmed Colin Paul and the Persuaders along with The Passionettes will be performing an Elvis Show like never before. All we can say at this stage is, if you are gonna be there it's gonna be very special featuring songs never performed by Colin and the lads before. Colin says we always strive to bring you new material each year and this year is no different.
The New Elvis Movie currently in Cinema's will feature and as always the week is guaranteed to be full of surprises. Lots of themes and loads of fun. New album and a re-release 21st June 2022
A new recording session is planned and will be announced very soon right here on this page. The Persuaders said we are happy to be going back into the studio to bring you a brand new Rock 'n' Roll Jive Album. All songs are currently being lined up and once recorded will be posted here and ready to pre-order.
Colin Paul's previous band THE STORMBEAT'S Recorded an album in 1992. It was released at the time on tape only and the band were featured promoting it on local radio and at gigs. These recordings are now available for the first time in 30 years and now on CD, with lots of the Radio promos and interviews included both with The Stormbeats and Fans. Elvis's Tigerman Karate Dojo 1st February 2022
Colin returned from a very successful trip to Memphis Tennessee in March, where the highlight was meeting up with the many friends he and his family have made of the years, Colin said after a two year break it was great to be back in the company of special friends once again in this great town. His shows were packed out and one of the highlights being at The Tigerman Karate Dojo and Museum where Colin performed and interviewed Elvis' 70's girlfriend Mindi Miller. Colin Blew up the sound system as it's just meant for talking lol, A new sound system is now in place for future entertainment.
Happy New Year 2nd January 2022
2022 Marks quite a milestone in my life and career. In June I will be celebrating my 60th Birthday and on May 7th it will be 40 years since I first stepped out onto a stage, and from what was the start of the most fantastic career. I have had such amazing times with both my bands The Stormbeats (1988 - 1995) and The Persuaders (1995 to present) Even now I'm always looking for the next move in my career, I have played the most awsome venues along with the best bands, entertainers and DJs on the circuit and I have met the most amazing people (you). I have mingled with the stars and worked for the best promotors and friends in the business including Kelvin Ford, Diane Wardle, Sandy Rice, Paul Down, Markus Henfling, Bob Ling amongst others. I have been lucky enough to perform in Memphis these past 21 years and my family and I have met the most amazing people who are now lifelong friends and family to us.
Now for the future. It starts this Tuesday 4th January as I return to Memphis to meet-up with some very special people in my life and of course pay my respects to the guy who made it all possible for me to get up on that stage in the first place.
I recently realised I have recorded 50 albums, so there will be no new albums this year, although I will still be recording some great original material written by Geoff Taggart, Toni West and Jim Newcombe for radio stations world wide and putting the songs out on social media for you all to hear. The song I am learning at the moment and recording on my return from the states is a fantastic song written by Geoff and Toni called Dancing With a Stranger. Your gonna love it. The next album release will be in early 2023 with an album recorded in Sun Studio. The Persuaders and I are looking at recording a new album towards the end of the year also for a 2023 release. More news on this very soon. Please remember most albums are available to purchase online.
There will be some very special shows in what seems to be (hopefully) a busy and healthy year for us all.
So either solo or with The Persuaders. I can confirm there will be some great shows as always at Rock n Roll venues and weekenders up and down the UK and of course with Yesterday Once More including a Trip to Memphis in August and my life long dream to visit Hawaii. Including a special Aloha From Hawaii show too. Look out for a special ad soon live from Memphis.
An anniversary show for Elvis Week at Hemsby with The Persuaders and 3 great Billy Fury wkds. Not forgetting many shows in the UK, Spain and hopefully Germany in December. Speaking of December my annual Christmas show at St Martin's is on December 8th and will feature for the first time a choir, can't wait for that. 24th December - Merry Christmas
Colin Paul and the Persuaders would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy Healthy and Prosperous New Year. It's certainly tough times out there once again. and it's been one hell of a year for many. We can only hope that 2022 will be a good year and we can get back on track. The gigs have been coming in thankfully and we hope that during this crazy times they will go ahead in 2022. As I write this on Christmas Eve I'm still not 100% my trip to Memphis in January will go ahead. Up to now it's on but things could well change quickly as we all know. My Shows at Marlowe's Jan 6 and 8 are scheduled to go ahead as is a special evening at the Tigerman Dojo and Museum on Jan 7 with many of Elvis family in attendance and I will be conducting a 2 hour interview with Elvis girlfriend and acclaimed actress Mindi Miller. Our 2022 gig guide is up to date, so if you are planning on coming to any gigs please check with myself or the venue that things are going ahead as planned, all being well they will. CPP are booked into a photo studio early in the new year for some new publicity pics and our planned Sun Studio Session in Memphis is now scheduled for January 2023. 31st October - Memphis Bound
Colin Paul will once again be appearing at The World famous Marlowe's Ribs n Restaurant on Elvis Presley Boulevard in Memphis Tennessee on 6th and 8th January.
Colin has performed shows here now for several years. As well as the fans you can always rely on members of Elvis family and friends to make an appearance on these great evenings.

One of the highlights of Colin's year is singing Elvis Christmas and Gospel songs at St Martins Church in Ashton upon Mersey, Sale.

18th October - Persuading You To Rock
It's been a busy few weeks both solo and with The Persuaders. It's certainly great to be getting back to some normality in these uncertain times and as long as things continue in the right direction we have plenty to look forward to. Colin Paul And The Persuaders have been busy rehearsing a brand new Elvis set especially for Elvis Week at Hemsby in a few weeks time. The lads recently travelled up to Carlisle to rehearse this special show with songs never played before and songs brought back that were successful in previous shows. Elvis Week at Hemsby is a week long event held of course every year in Hemsby Great Yarmouth. Checkout the Yesterday Once More page for full details and how to book. Speaking of Elvis and Billy Our Tale of Two Kings show is back and our 1st event is in Cornwall at Ten Creek Holiday Park on the 2nd April. We are also Bringing the show back to Altrincham Cheshire for a special one off evening next summer. Colin Paul's long awaited Rock 'n' Roll No'2 [Shake It Up] Album is almost ready to go. It Will be released on Friday 19th November. Full Release details will be posted right here next week.
We are looking forward to retuning to Sale's It's only Rock 'n' Roll Club this Friday. It's now completely sold out and we cant wait to see many of you there. Other gigs to look forward to our The Bawa Club in Bristol, and The Roundhouse in Bolton. All details of every show are on our events page.
17th August - Billy Lives On !
We are proud to announce that our Rockin' Like Fury Weekend in Blackpool this November is going ahead and we have now moved to The Savoy Hotel, Just a bit further up from the Met towards Bispham. Its a beautiful clean and friendly Hotel and the management and staff are more than happy to welcome us. As you can see on the poster to the left, we have a great line-up of entertainment and we are more than ready to Rock Like Fury once again. I'm sure you agree after these past 18 months or so we are ready for this. See our 'Blackpool Billy Fury Weekends' in the events menu for more details including price and photos of this lovely hotel. The Restaurant is fantastic and the bar stocks all the beers and shorts you love. I can also confirm we will have the whole hotel to ourselves. we are capping this at 250 people and we are heading in the right direction to achieve this, so please don't hesitate book now so you don't miss out on what promises to be a fantastic weekend.
16th August - Elvis Lives On !
It's hard to believe that Elvis has been gone 44 years and as always the light never dims. With Elvis events around the world, His movies and concerts on TV, not forgetting a candlelight vigil every year at his home in Memphis. Something that just isn't done for anyone else is truly amazing. But thanks to the pandemic Colin was unable to travel for the second year to Memphis to join in the celebrations of his life. Colin was flattered that both The Days Inn and Marlowe's decided not to go ahead with any shows as it just wouldn't be the same. Colin called them and said they should still go ahead, but their reply was no chance. We will just make up for it next year. Colin plans on being in Memphis from January 2nd with some special shows planned. All will be revealed here as soon as everything is finalized. In the meantime please checkout the 'yesterday once more' page for our very own Elvis week right here in the UK in November, Not forgetting the 45th Anniversary trip to Memphis, Las Vegas and Hawaii. Plus we can confirm Colin returns to The Moss Trooper on November 26th for another Elvis Special. Also soon to be confirmed Colin will be back performing his Elvis Christmas Gospel shows. 1st August - Great to be back !
Well it's certainly been a busy few weeks, Colin and the lads have certainly kicked into things very quickly this pass month. As well as Colin's successful solo gigs, The Persuaders performed their first gig since last September in Liverpool at The Liner Hotel. This is the new home for Yesterday once more's Billy Fury wkd. The last wkd before restrictions were lifted, but it didn't stop the fun and the excitement of being let out lol. It was a successful wkd and bookings are now being taken for next years event www,yesterdayoncemore.co.uk
The wkd is over half booked now so please don't leave it too late or you may not get in.
It's a beautiful Hotel and perfect for a tribute to Billy in his home town. Colin Paul and Dj's Neil Williams and Andy Cordwell were invited by legendary Liverpool DJ Billy Butler to appear on his radio show to talk Billy and all things Rock 'n' Roll. It's available on YouTube to listen to now.
The Persuaders were then off to Blackpool but not before Colin had solo gigs in Sale and Devon. The Blackpool gig was at Tiffany's Hotel and the venue for Blackpool Rocks [Elvis] event. A full Elvis show and wow did the boys rock. These guys always excel themselves when it Comes to Billy or Elvis. Colin stayed the week with his family before the lads once again in Blackpool headed for Hampton Road Rock n Roll Club for a night of solid 50s/60's Rock n Roll. 3 separate shows and each one as good as the other with the excitement of being back out there doing what they love to do.

We're getting The Persuaders back in the studio
12th May | Back in business
Colin Paul and The Persuaders will be meeting up next week for the first time this year. We have booked in a new photo shoot as an update for future plans, Then we are back at CPP HQ for rehearsals for our upcoming shows in Rock 'n' Roll, Elvis and Billy Fury as well as cabaret shows. We are adding lots of new numbers and absolutely looking forward to getting back out there to entertain and we can't wait.
12th May | Sun Studio, The Manchester Version
We were booked into Sun Studio in Memphis this past January, but for obvious reasons it didn't happen, we have re-scheduled for next year, date T.B.A. So we got talking and decided to book into a local studio here in Manchester later this year. We will confirm recording dates right here for Manchester and Memphis asap, so keep checking in for updates..

Hello and welcome to our new look website. Where you will find our news stories on upcoming shows and release's as well as some new features and downloads as we gradually build on the site. Checkout the gig guide now with full address's and post codes as we slowly get back into it after lockdown. It's certainly been a strange and tough year for us all and we hope everyone is safe and well. We expect things to move back to normality slowly, but rest assured we will get there. Dates for venues will open up and as the world gets used to adapting we will be gathering pace once more to explore all things Rock 'n' Roll.
